Move'd |
Well If you are reading this, the network your ISP uses has had their DNS servers updated with the new name servers of my websites. Congratulations!
It was a full days work, but all of the websites that I host have been moved to a PHP5 server. Yay speed boost for php.
I think Andy is working on his here. He decided to move from Drupal to Wordpress. Apparently Drupal kept breaking. Crazy. Hope workpress works better for them. He could of course move to Website Baker. I have yet to have a crash due to an update. Even this move, all my website baker install only needed their config.php files updated with the new database location. The rest was drag and drop. It was pretty sweet and really easy.
Anyways, enough cms bashing. It might take a few days for my site to get up to optimum speed just because of the reconfiguration, but it should be just as good as before, if not better.
Because you can easily find out from a whois lookup, my webhost is IX Webhosting. I've been with them for 3 or 4 yeas now and its been great. I've had very limited downtime, like maybe a couple hours over since I moved to them) including a move of their server farm from New York, to Ohio, which in itself was amazing the minimal downtime that happened. Its been great. I would highly recommend them, no matter what reviews you've seen on them, my experience has been superb.
Cheers
